BOTULINUM TOXIN

The procedure consists in the intradermal introduction of the preparation in the region of the armpits, feet and hands. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia. Before the procedure the doctor performs the iodine test for the presence of starch, allowing for determining the areas of the skin where sweat production is the highest. Botulinum toxin inhibits sweat gland function for approx. 6–8 months.
